SMS Opt-In & Consent Information

This page explains how VITAPI collects consent, what types of SMS messages users may receive, and how users can control or stop notifications at any time.

How users provide consent

Users explicitly opt in to receive SMS notifications from VITAPI by voluntarily providing their phone number through one of the following methods:

  • Submitting a phone number through an event registration form
  • Requesting SMS notifications via a web-based request form
  • Providing written or electronic consent requesting text alerts
Consent is never assumed. Messages are sent only after a user has intentionally requested to receive SMS notifications.
Types of messages sent

SMS messages sent by VITAPI are strictly informational and may include:

  • Emergency or safety-related alerts
  • Event schedule changes or cancellations
  • Weather-related notifications
  • Critical operational or status updates

VITAPI does not send promotional, advertising, or marketing messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on event activity and urgency. Users may receive multiple messages during critical situations and few or no messages at other times.

Example:
“VITAPI Alert: Due to severe weather, tonight’s event has been postponed. Updated details will follow.”
Opt-out and user control

Users may opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying:

  • STOP – immediately unsubscribes from messages
  • HELP – provides assistance or support information

Opt-out requests are honored immediately.

Carrier information and fees

Message and data rates may apply depending on the user’s mobile carrier and service plan. VITAPI is not responsible for carrier charges.

Compliance and data use

VITAPI follows industry best practices for SMS delivery, consent tracking, and data protection. Phone numbers are used solely for the purpose of delivering requested notifications.

Phone numbers are not sold, shared, or used for marketing.
